The Maserati Spyder and Coupé grand tourers are produced by Italian automaker Maserati 2002-2007. They have now been replaced by the GranTurismo. The two boards see the four-seat coupe and roadster versions of two places, respectively. Both models were based on 3200 GT, which was sold in Europe but not in the United States. The Coupé and Spyder are commonly referred to as the 4200 GT, which is an evolution of the model name and a previous reference to the increase in displacement to 3.2 L (3217 cc) and 4.2 L (4244 cc).

The Spyder was first unveiled to the public in 2001 at the Frankfurt Auto Show, with the debut of the Coupe is following soon after in 2002 at the Detroit Auto Show. The U.S. sales began in March 2002 to the Spyder and Coupé for May. The launch of the Maserati Spyder announced return to the U.S. market after a hiatus of 11 years.
